How to do this
I run a Contesting and Freebie Forum and I have been to another forum and seen something that I would really like to have on my forum.. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this?
I would like my members to be able to do the contesting ending date in the drop downand not the subject line.. Thanks to anyone in advance that can help |

Thing is I don't want it to expire. It's for contest which all have different end dates.. This site they have the years month and day.. It actually shows just underneath the subject line when you are looking at it from the main page. It shows you when the contests expire.

What does this date do? Is it just shown in the thread? Is the thread automatically closed on that date?
There is a form hack where you could add a couple of fields to your New Thread form and then take the information from those fields and put it in the post/thread. You may want to look for that (I think it's just called Form Hack or Form Mod). |

Thanks Lynne,
I will check those out. I don't think it does anything. I think it basically just lets people know the end dates of the contest and makes it easier for the mods to move the post when the contest is over.. |
