Messages on a map?

Hi,

Does anybody now of a modification or plugin that allows users to write message that will appear at a certain location on a map? I want to use that on the forum so give a better overview of geo-related information.

I have seen plugins that allow to show your users on a map or to insert maps in forum posts, but that is not what I am looking for.

I would be happy to hear if somebody knows about such an plugin,

When you say "allows users to write message" what are you refering to? Creating a Thread in a specific Forum? Having an additional Profile Field that contains a Message? or what?

You can do a lot of various things with the Google Maps API.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking about threads or posts, not about profile fields.

We have a thread on the forum where users can post what they are working on. And these project usually have a geo location as well. So therefore we thought it would be useful to display them on a map.

Guess I have to look a bit better at the Google API.
