I'd like our mods to be able to hit reply in their email client (Much like we do with a "Contact Us" message), to reply to the sender.
Is there anyway to change the sender of the RTM email to the registered email of the member, to allow us to do this? Thanks. |

I have no idea what an "RTM" email is.
When a post is reported, a notice is sent to all our mods. When they reply to it it comes from them. I think. |

Hi Videx, thanks for the reply.
The RTM email is the email that gets sent to the moderators. It comes from the forum admin address, and I'd like it to come from the email of the user who clicked 'report'. Which is how the 'Contact Us' feature works. |

Ah, you mean the Report a Post emails. Still not sure where you get the name "RTM" for those. Why not "RaP"?
Anyway. I see why it has never bothered us. First, there's a mailto: link right at the top that goes to the reporter's registered email. Of course, this may or may not actually be a working email. But more importantly, after immediate action is taken if necessary, staff needs to discuss the ramifications. After some discussion, one moderator volunteers (or is elected) to answer the person. By then the original email is long gone, so we would just PM the reporter. |
