Hi Guys, I'm making a new economics website and I plan for this site to be more professional than the sites I have made in the past. Here's the thing, I want a frontpage that displays my news section threads as news with links to the thread. On my old sites I used vbadvanced for this but I'd like something more professional looking and I was wondering if it is possible to maybe do that with wordpress? or some other portal type solution (obviously wordpress isn't a portal but portals are the only kind of software I've seen that would allow me to do this) that could replace vbadvanced that would look more like its own website and less like an extension of my forums. I want my site to have more depth without spending a ton of money basically.

Here's a vb/wordpress bridge for 3.8. The same coder has a product for previous vb versions as well:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ight=wordpress I wouldn't be surprised if the above product has a feature to send threads from vb to wp automatically. But, if it doesn't, this product is supposed to and states that it works with the vb/wordpress bridge above: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ight=wordpress |
