Profile Field Category Boxes at Registration

I've been searching around for this for a while now and no one seems to have asked how to do it.

I'm trying to group custom profile fields in their category boxes at registration, but can't figure it out, pretty sure I'm missing osmething obvious here but it's not happening.

Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

If you look at my 10 sec paint pic lol
you can add the option there "where ive badly painted around the box"

Yeah that displays the fields at registration but I want to group those fields within the categories they are part of, I'm guessing this is a mixture of a template edit and the register.php but I've had no success so far
