The same problem with how RSS feed works, I found this post where someone shows a fix for myBB board. I wonder if anyone did this in VB or can suggest similar fix.

Try: /external.php?type=RSS1&tackon=xxx (xxx= number of posts you need.)

Works for vB 3.8.4 RSS feed, if settings* done correctly

*: Vbulletin Options --> External Data Provider --> Maximum External Record --> Just type: 9999 or whatever you need, the number you give here is the max you can "tackon".
