I am driven nuts by lost registration confirmation emails.. need help!
I am having to manually register a lot of people who have the confirmation message filtered out by their spam killer or junk mail filters.
As forum admin - I get perhaps 2 or 3 emails about it per day.. (busy forum, 75,000 + members growing all time) to add to the aggravation people contact me with alternate email address's or forget to mention their user name - so it requires more back and forth correspondence to resolve the issue. Are there any cool tricks to get around having to do all this registration work manually? Or to limit the issue? Its all adding up to a lot typing for me and is cutting into my moderation / forum development time. Thanks for any help... |

Yes, go to the ISP in question that is filtering your forum mail to your members and get your domain white listed there.
Also confirm that your domain is rfc compliant, reverse is setup correctly, spf, etc.... |

That's great thanks..
Actually I am in the middle of an AOL white listing procedure now. Are you suggesting that I try to ascertain if an ISP is blocking my registration emails? and will look into the other suggestions too.. Thanks again... |

Yes, check your email log and find out why certain isp's may be blocking your emails.
