I get really tired of all the AOL users emailing me that they didn't get the confirmation e-mail. Is there a fix or some type of a mod that helps AOL users through the registration process ?

Yeah set reverse DNS to your domain and add a spf record.
Thats what I had to do for yahoo and aol.

I have 3 different forums running on the same server. Setting up reverse DNS won't work very well.

Try to just add a spf. It will help.
