Ok, so I wake up this morning and I see this
Hacked By MasTerFouad I'm in the admin cp right now, but I am trying to figure out how to reinstall by backed-up database, so I can get back rolling. Also, how exactly was it broken into? obviously not through my webserver because, a real hacker would have just erased everything, wouldn't he/she? So I need some help as far as security measures go. Can't believe I let my board get hacked. Sad on my end. |

You can repair your site without doing a backup.
The change was most likely one of two templates that he\she changed spacer_open & space_closed, you can repair them via phpmyadmin, check for base64 code in those templates as well as any others. I would suggest as well that you update vb/skins/hacks once you resolve the above issue. |

Ok, I see what you are saying. The only problem I am having is I do not know what was originally in those templates to replace the text with. Or what it just added coded strings on top of everything?

Are you on a dedicated or shared host? If you are on a shared host most will take the backup for you and do the restore. Just open a support ticket..
After that update VBulletin immediately, update all your mods and make sure none of the mods have been moved to the graveyard. And its good to see someone getting use out of my visual style, although it looks a little messed up. |
