This strange menu selection has plagued my ACP for some time now, therefore I cannot associate it with the installation of a modification or any other action on my part. Though it is mainly an aesthetic issue, it taunts me on every visit and I would certainly like to remove it from the ACP.
The top menu selection within the ACP is *[]* and clicking on this opens up a new ACP menu within the ACP window. You then see two menus next to one another. It appears that the ACP works within frames, with one designated for the menu and the second for content. Has anyone ever experienced this? What can I do to manually remove this, in case there is no evidence of the origin? |

Maybe look in your includes/xml directory for non-vb supplied files and try removing one at a time and see if one of them is causing it.
Of course, it is best to do this on a test site so you don't affect the main site. |

that's a damaged XML cpnav trying what lynne says is your best bet, or you can try editing the files or viewing them in an editer to see any mistakes in the format
