What is site authentication?

Some pages, such as pages behind a login, provide restricted access and do not allow our crawler to crawl them in order to determine their content. OK i would like to allow the crawler access to "the inside of my site"

but here is where i stand during setup of this in adsense its ask for a

Restricted Directory or URL: (my url would go here )
Authentication URL <-----What is the exact Login URL?
Authentication method: (post) (Get) (plain HTTP) <--- Which one should i select?

Username and a password (iv created a user "googlebot" and have set a password for the bot to use

I think you are confusing the AdSense robot with the Google Search spider.

well which ever it its dont matter that not what im asking in my post...adsense is owned by google... hence the name i made

basicaly u need to provide the crawler or wetf its is a login and password to acess the stuff behind the login IE gallery etctec

i need to know the login url to direct the crawler to thast way it can use the user and pass iv provided for it

I dont think it supports the way vBulletin handles logins currently

You could try http://yourforums.com/login.php, but i doubt it works.

yes iv tried that already but no luck thanks for the suggestion tho look like ill have to find another way to tweak the SEo of my site then ill find a way liol

you should allow adsense authinication if ads appears to members only

I think you maybe a little confused.

The bot that determines what advertisements to serve (Earnings/Adsense), is completely different from the bot that determines how to rank your site (SEO).

Allowing the Adsense bot access to your content, won't have any effect on rankings, as the crawler that ranks your site currently does not have such a feature to allow google to crawl protected content.
