when a user posts in a thread and returns to the post index it shows the thread they just posted in as having new posts. if someone posts in a thread they are the last person in that thread so it shouldn't show as being new.
is there a way to fix this? |

it depend if your vB is old version, but if you have an 3.5 and higher, you have a setting in :
>> Admincp >> vBulletin Options >>+Server Settings and Optimization Options >> Update Thread Views Immediately |

who's online number is set by this option:
>> Admincp >> vBulletin Options >> Cookies and HTTP Header Options >> Session Timeout the smaller the size, the quicker updated... |

The Session Timeout setting affects all sessions globally on the board.
