error : This is not a valid image file
After upgrading to vb 3.8.1, I got report from members :
If upload image (gif, jpg) appear error : This is not a valid image file (upload other extension except image , working fine) I try upgrade php to newest version : php 5.2.8 but still can not Permission and image size = fine. Please try visit w**.kotasatelit.*** Please register and try to upload a small image : jpg, gif ...for testing upload, please do at topic : "Tips dan belajar posting" (lowest page) :: I already contact ur support but he told me put this case on forum. Waiting any comments whom can solve this case Thanks. |

Are those set as valid extension types in the admincp attachments settings?
If you want ppl to test things on your site, then set up a test account for ppl to use, we are not going to sign up accounts to test things at your forum. |

What version were you running prior to 3.8? What do ou have set in vboptions > human verification manager > image verification options > image verificaito library? And does the option you have selected there have an image next to it?

Not caused by human verification manager. I try using option "image verification", "recaptcha" and "disable". Error still same Past version : 3.7.3 patch level 1 any different idea? |

I just tried to upload a jpg, a small one and a large one and it started to upload the attachment but within a few seconds it returned the not a valid image error.
I am wondering is you have had problems with hot linking in the past that you may have added some code to your htaccess file to prevent access to some image file extensions? The other thought has was whether you have tried to reenter the extension in the attachment manager. I know in the past that has worked for similar issues with image extensions not being recognized. Try adding jpg to the end of your listing and see if it allows them to be uploaded. HTH |

I am using win2K and never setting folder permission Also never set attachment manager. All images(jpg, gif, jpeg) can not upload Other extension fine , like as pdf, zip tks for comments --------------- Added [DATE]1235055861[/DATE] at [TIME]1235055861[/TIME] --------------- Problem solved. It cause of wrong setting in vbulletin option >> image settings >> ImageMagick 6 I dont set directory for ImageMagick 6 (empty) Now I change to GD. It working fine thanks for all comments |
