So Ive been having some issues with my tasks running, seems the culprit was the Attachment views task. It will not run manually or automatically.
I don't have the instant update for attachment enabled so this script should be working. Ive tried editing times, open and close, and cmod the file to 644. Path is correct and yes its turned on and active. But when I try to run it all I get is a IE page cant be found error. Anyone know if I absolutely need this task or have an ideal how to get it going again? Thanks for your time. ![]() |

Do you get the page notfound error immediate or after a longer time?

After it times out, (long time)
Tried Firefox and just got a blank screen in the frame. Heres a scream shot of IE after timeout. |

I'm not sure if that Scheduled Task is needed if you have "Update Attachment Views Immediately" set to Yes. For large, busy forums, it is recommended to have that set to No.
Anyway, since you have it set to Yes, try disabling the Scheduled Task and then see if your other Scheduled Tasks will start to run. Do you get error messages sent to you or logged somewhere? It would be useful to see what is erroring out on that script. Maybe a timeout thing, but server stuff isn't really my area. I'm guessing Marco will know what is going on. |

Actually "Update Attachment Views Immediately" is set to No. Sorry I guess I didn't explain that well.
The task is currently turned off and the rest are now running as they should. No matter what I change to the task setting it will not update the next time to run and simply refuses to run manually. |

OK, since it is set to No, you will need to get this fixed. You can wait for Marco or someone else who might know to come back and post, or you may want to do a search. I've seen this sort of thing brought up before, so I know there are posts about it either here, or more likely, over at vb.com

Try the following:
- Run the scheduled task manually. Once you get the page not found, start it again. Repeat this multiple times until the script finish quicker and without error. It might be that there is too much "work" to do and the script times out. Once all the backlag of work is done, the script should function normal again. - If the above doesn't solve your problem, repair the database 2-3 times and repeat the above. To fix this run Repair/Optimize in the Admin CP. You may need to run it more than once to fix all errors: Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Repair/Optimize Tables -> Check All -> Continue If you can not access your AdminCP, then you can upload the tools.php file from the vbulletin .zip file do_not_upload/ folder into your forumdir/admincp/ directory and run it through the browser, there's a switch there to run optimize and repair. Run it a few times for best result. If you cannot access either the Admin CP or tools.php you can also use a tool like phpMyAdmin to repair tables. |
