How to make forum private but thread topics visible??

How can I make certain forums private but they still show the forum TOPIC but not the content?

I chose "No" for unregistered members viewing thread content and it removed every single thread topic, doesnt show anything

What can I do?

I don't think you can do this without a modification (in fact, I'm pretty sure you can't) - I have not seen such a modification though.

Isn't that almost the same thing I am talking about??

This would work and also show the 1st post correct?

If so, would this be considered cloaking at all tho?

You are talking about hiding the whole thread, my modification shows the first post. However, if that works for you, use it.

Cloaking is when you hide content from regular users (guests), but show them to search engine spiders. My modification shows the same content to both guests and spiders.
