When i say shop, i mean REAL money for REAL items

vBCommerce is working towards that end. It's currently only available to premium vBCredits members, but that's just to work out any bugs until it goes public. http://www.vbcredits.com/

its not really what im looking for.
For example, i want to sell items that can be paid for via paypal & not credits

Yes, I know. One of the features of the mod is the ability to sell real world items for real world money.

does vbcredits HAVE TO be installed?
or can vbcommerce be installed without vbcredits?

Why not use my vBulletin Members Area?
You can buy items with that and its only via Paypal, not credits.
There's a lite version on vb.org

I don't know. You could probably ask the developers. Even if you did have to, vBCredits won't show on your forum unless you make the necessary template edits.
