Okay, so on MSN, my friend sent me a link, and I clicked it. It opened up a window, then it closed rapidly, and opened a conversation with all my friends on MSN, and sent links to do the same thing.
Now, my computer is going slower, and every site I visit, I get pop-ups for advertisements, but mostly for PornTube. So I have all this porn popping up. Can someone help me? Also, when I reboot computer now, and it loads back up, it says I'm missing 2 important files. Also, my IE pop-up blocker is on, and it normally works. |

you do not have any virus protector, so you're stuck to clean it... logically...

![]() Joking - google `AVAST` as its quite a good program and free for home use. It checks for viruses and trojans and will remove them if found |

This is the dreaded msn virus not sure what it does to a pc but it does exactly what its doing now spreads itself over msn. It's weird but you can somewhat tell weather or not its your friend talking to you. I know that I never send a link to my mates after like two lines...just looks too suspicious Malwarebytes is another "googler" it god rid of my XP antivirus...virus. lol

I downloaded Firefox, and it is no longer a problem. My computer is now faster, and no more porn popups and such.
I also deleted all cookies and history and stuff. Not sure what it was that did it, but I'll stick with Firefox ![]() Oh, and last night I scanned my computer, and it found 55 viruses, it deleted them, so it must've been that! ![]() |

You may need to run msconfig and turn off anything you don't recognize from the startup tab in there and disable any services you don't recognize or look suspicious. You can also try getting Kaspersky Internet Security which works wonders. |

Reboot in Safe Mode and Scan... there could still be viruses it did not detect or could not detect as they were embeded in a program which might not be running in safe mode
![]() Also get a registry cleaner and clean, clean, clean. www.cnet.com Click the Downloads tab... and in the search box type in... Advanced Windows Care or Adware SE or Adware 2008 AVG is fine even if it's the free version as it will tell you where the virus's are to remove manually ![]() Also in Firefox get the add-on "No-Script" and it blocks scripts on sites which helps you browse more securely.
