videos
Is there a video mod that doesn't use Youtube or any other video sites, but will let admins post videos that are uploaded to their server?
Say I uploaded /video1.mpg to my server and wanted to create a page that had that video. How would I do that? Or would I have to go round the long way and use the <embed src=""> |

No...
That never won mod of the month. Use this one, it's easier, you just post the video link: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=150761 Just the URL of the video and it gets posted, without having to allow HTML, that can't be beat. |

Thanks for your reply, but if you read above, I don't want to post videos from other sites - that's what Passive vid does.
I want to upload videos to my own site and to embed those on vB Custom Pages - not in the forums |

You need to create custom pages then and insert an embed code including the exact file location of the video on your site, that isn't a big problem.
Search creating new pages, here on .org and you'll be on your way. |

The 2.5 version that is in pre release also allows you to control posting (and viewing) via usergroup permissions while definitions produced by the community support local hosted files (plus a number of other options). But, hey. There you go! While it may not be exactly what the OP is after, I just wanted to set the record straight. If the OP is creating custom pages, why not just insert the embed code yourself? No need for any mod Thanks |
