Wow, what a great enhancement! Well done Bobster!
I may be incorrect here, but I suspect that it may affect the SEO ability of the site because if I use FF and disable javascript, the tabs don't work so I can't access most of the forums. Not sure if spiders would still be able to get around (as I assume the forums are just 'hidden' and the links are still in the source), but just to be safe, I would want a system that would show all forums if javascript was disabled. Anyhoo, hope I wasn't talking out if turn. I think I am going to go have a gander at the mod bob as I think I could make use of it ![]() |

vB.org use this mod and I see all is ok with your seo... Threads are good indexed in Google.

vb.org doesn't use this mod... that is a different method of achieving similar results. The concensus seems to be that SEO would not be hurt with the mod, however the version you used as an example is unfunctional without javascript (which tmk spiders do not parse). Im really no expert by any means on SEO and spiders so I defer to these guys on that. However I know that I would need a solution that didnt break without javascript
![]() Also, relevant or not to the mod in question... the bottom of the forumhome in the example you linked to has w3c compliant images, but when you click on it, there are 388 validation errors! Now the site you linked to has A LOT of modifications on that page, so any combination of those modifications could contribute to the validation errors, but still... something I would also check out ![]() |

If you disable javascript and can't navigate your site, then the spiders won't be able to either.
Simple as that *sidenote: anyone who display w3c compliant images is a noob to begin with. |
