Hey guys, what are some good places to list a new forum?

Based on some of the spam I get, other forums would be generally considered acceptable...

Actually, try PMing the admins of other forums with similar interests and ask if they mind you posting an advert for your place. Some will allow it.

*shrug* - make sure you have your keywords right for the type of audience you're seeking through search engines, then. When I've gone looking for a forum, I've never thought about a directory of forums. I just hit Google and see what comes up. Are there even directories for forums?

directories are worthless put the link in your forum signatures at forums, and like rapscallion said, contact admins of related niche sites to attempt to build backlinks.

If you need a new category, start a thread there and suggest one.

Yeah, the biggest boards is not only for vBulletin forums, but since there are probably more vBulletin forums out there than anything else, it only makes sense to let everyone know about it.
