I don't know if this will help you or not but you could take a look at vbClassified. It is a script to have classifieds ad on your site but you can run auctions with it as well.

Ya, vbclassified is the only game in town right now. The author has backed off support lately, but he did (finally) update it for 3.7. Works fine. Buy it.
