Topic reply notification emails...
OK, this may seem like a weird question but I (as do MANY people) use gmail. I belong to several other forums aside from the one I run. Most of those also vBulletin forums. When I am away from my PC and get multiple topic reply notifications for the same topic from those forums they all get nested in my gmail box. When I get multiple topic reply notifications for the same topic from my own forum, they are all individual messages. Making it a PITA for me (and I assume some of my membes) to sift through an unecessary number of seperate emails dealing with the same thread. Since all else is equal on the gmail side, is this being caused by a configuration on the forum side for my forum?
--------------- Added [DATE]1219434721[/DATE] at [TIME]1219434721[/TIME] --------------- Come on, no one? How does your forum work if you use gmail and get topic reply notifications? I can post a screenshot showing what I'm talking about if anyone isn't sure... |

Nothing ever gets nested for me in gmail, so you must be doing something wrong.
The board only sends notis once, until you go to the board and read the thread. Then I delete the noti from gmail. When someone else responds, there's another noti there. maybe you're forgetting to delete the noti after you've gone to the board and read the new responses? |
