Hi,

I currently have the Registered Members user group set to 0 PMs allowed hence disabling the functionality for newly registered members. As the Admin I can still PM a new member. However a moderator can't. Is there any fix/mod that will allow mods to send a PM to a new member in the same way an Admin can over-ride this setting.

I believe there is a permission in the usergroup settings page that is "override quota".

This doesn't work though. Even if you have the ignore quota set, if you try to send a PM to a member of a usergroup whose PM allowance is set to zero you get the message:

Quote:

X has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

I put in a support request about this and I was told that this is simply not possible.
