3.7 Request: Show Browser & OS Version in Postbit
So I've asked for some assistance on this matter in the regular forums, and have been given little assistance, except for to be told I could add a field for members to enter this info manually.
I would like to have a mod that would add a line in postbit to automatically display the poster's browser and os version. I realize it won't parse older posts, only new ones, of course. Simple request, I'd think, since the first part of this is already available as a plugin for SMF forum software. Anyone able to help? |

Unless I'm mistaken, what your looking for is linked in the Similar Threads box at the bottom of this page.

Second, it's not automatic, which is what I really want. I already have a manual solution in place. |

Well, it's just a call to your User Profile field numbers, so version doesn't matter. But in any case..
First thing I would try is snagging the code from your Who's Online template and see if it will additionally work in the postbits. I've never tried it before, but it's worth a shot. |

Also, the user agent stuff from Who's Online is crude. I was hoping for something better. |
