This has been a problem for awhile, but I recently upgraded to 3.7.2 hoping it would be fixed and it isn't, but I have been unable to send mass emails to users. It doesn't even work if I just send it to the staff members to test it. Does anyone know if how to fix this or what the problem might be?
Thanks. |

Admin CP > Maintenance > Diagnostics > Test Email
Test sending an email from that interface. |

Okay I tried it and I sent it to two different email addresses and it still didn't send anything, but it said there were no errors returned when it attempted to send the email.

You will need to check the email error logs on the server, if this is a dedicated server, then you can check the log file, typically in /var/log/maillog
If this is a vhost server, you will need to ask your host to tell you why those two emails failed to go out, have the host post the full failure message from the log and then post it here if hte host dont tell you how to solve the problem. Also, we cant do much to help you, as you didnt post a domain for us to check. |

How are you sending mail? PHP or SMTP? Are you sending mail in batches-delayed or immediate?
If you are using php, have you experimented with the -f option? Does your host allow php mail? If it's SMTP, is the user name correct and the password correct? Do you have to have a user name or full email address there? Is "SMTP Secure Connection" checked and shouldn't be? It's a good idea to use the same email address is all three places you can set an email address in vB IMO. |
