Well, the title pretty much explains my situation.
Me and all of my members seem to be getting the "Upload Of File Failed" message whenever we try to upload any sort of GIF image as an avatar. I'm not sure why it would do this, as I have allowed GIF images as avatars, and the Upload Diagnostic tool in vBulletin says that everything works fine. I'm just about to give up on this, and I'm having to tell everyone to upload their image to an external host, because for some reason it works whenever it's sent from another server, but not straight from a computer. I've turned Safe Mode on and off, but no help. vBulletin Version: 3.7.0 GOLD Anyhoo, if anyone's got any ideas, that be awesome. Thanks in advance, Sponge |

There are no additional messages, and the allowed dimensions are higher than the test GIF I am using.

I've run into this same problem more than a few times. I still haven't figured out what is going on. I think vb is not recognizing the proper file type on some avatar uploads. I would report it on the com and see if anyone else there has run into this, too.

If this is a dedicated server, check the apache server logs as to why its failing, if not ask your host to check the logs for the correct reason as to why its failing.
