Hard to say without more info, but perhaps another modification is interfering with the vB JavaScript, so you could temporarily disable all modifications and see if that helps.

you may face problems coz all the editing you had made would be lost..

reverting means to restore the original and default vB skin templates.

Style Manager > select style to Edit > Expand All (<<>> button) > find edited templates in red > select the one to revert > hit Revert

Well, you can have problems by not reverting or different problems by reverting. Your choice. OR, you can compare the unedited template to your edited template and make the changes that way. OR, you can revert the template and then go through your modification notes and add back in the changes you made.
