I am in the middle of setting up a new (and first time) BB.

When I try to "log out" of my board, I'm taken to a message, that asks, "are you sure you want to log out?" After you reply yes I get this:

Why isn't it just logging me out?

Try reuploading that file (login.php) to the server. Make sure to hit Replace not Resume.
