I would check your config.php file. Did you change it for the upgrade or use your old one? Which version are you upgrading from?

This error indicates that the MySQL user and/or pass in your config.php file is incorrect.

What control panel do you use, cpanel, directadmin etc?
As you main account username is dirty, cpanel creates usernames like this dirty_Dirty, check your control panel for the correct username & reset your password for that db username as well. |

Do you have a copy of your old config.php file? If you were just upgrading from 3.6, you should be able to use it.
