vB 3.7
Hello All,
I have been running 3.6 for a while now, and I know that 3.7 has just come out. I would like to upgrade, but I'm afraid that if I do some of my "mods" won't work. Can someone please tell me how I can "test" 3.7 without messing with my 3.6 that is working perfectly? Or should I just leave it the way it is? Matt |

I suggest you run a test board under your forum at /vbtest/ with the mods placed onto your test board.

If you are upgrading... your successful upgrade should be your highest priority..
I suggest:- 1. Uninstall all your mods. (Do not worry, you can always get them back for the latest 3.7). Keep a note of the mods that are a must for you so that you do not miss them after upgrade. Look for the latest version in 3.7 Mods section. Install them fresh. 2. Even I had a lot of lovely mods installed before upgrading to 3.7, but UPGRADING to 3.7 was more important to me so I uninstalled all and now I again have them all for latest 3.7 Hope this helpss... but if you want to upgrade, do not care about anything else. |

Uninstalling your mods is neither necessary or advisable - depending on the mod you may lose valuable data.
Upgrade to 3.6.10 first and make sure everything works, then upgrade to 3.7 - there are very few mods that do work on 3.6.10 but wont work on 3.7, and in many cases there will either be a fix in the mods thread, or a 3.7 version you can upgrade to. |

So are you saying I should make a vbTest forum or not, just upgrade?
