rss robot not running

My RSS has just randomly stopped working about a week ago. If i manually run the scheduled task it works fine but it won't do it on it's own.

Remove the task and add it back.
Make sure you save the settings so you can add it back the same way.

That didn't work. I even added a brand new one for a podcast and that is not running either. I don't know what else to do. If someone has an idea please post.

Are any of your Scheduled Tasks running? Have you checked your error_logs to see if there is an error occuring when this is supposed to be running? Have you tried reuploading the rssposter.php file?

It seems as though all my scheduled tasks have stopped running.

Then you probably removed the part in the footer that is responsible for making sure the cron jobs run - the part inbetween the two "<!-- Do not remove or your scheduled tasks will cease to function -->" tags. Perhaps try reverting your footer template.

err, no, it's still there.

Do you have them on? What time do they say they will next run? What does your Scheduled Task Log say? Have you checked your apache error_logs to see what is there?

all tasks are next scheduled to run on the 14th of this month at differing times. I looked in my error_log and i'm seeing a permissions error for site.com/cron.php Is that the problem?

I tried to CHMOD the file to 77 but it says permission denied... The cron.php file is also completely empty.

If cron.php is empty, then you should reupload the file because it should not be empty.

Did you do something on April 14th to the site? It sounds like that is the date the cron jobs might have stopped. I'd reupload the cron.php file and then see if things get started again.
