Categories for Social Groups
Hi,
In /group.php page, categories would be very nice. Members create social groups about many articles like sports, music, people, etc. When too much articles show up in this page, it looks like disorganized and sometimes members can't find what they look for. Is it possible to code categories for the social groups home page (/group.php)? |

Any ideas for this hack? This should be very systematic for the forums.

What would you want for the group categories? Just like the normal listing except if it's in group id x, it shows up at group.php?do=cat&id=x, basically?

I just want to create group categories as i wish, and move the related social groups to them. Recent social groups pages looks like disorganized.

I have been assisting with a project to do this recently on a custom basis. I'll need to check on the status of it and if it can be released here. If it's not finished, been terminated, or not granted permission for release (or indeed too deeply integrated with that particular setup as it is a pretty custom site) then I'll be recoding it from scratch.
