Product-Level Control Panel

I was cleaning up my AdminCP and it dawned on me: Why doesn't Jelsoft have some sort of control panel for products instead of having everything cluttering up the AdminCP?



About Product Control Panel:

Product CP is an area outside the AdminCP designed to facilitiate the administration of additional products that's not part of vBulletin.



Reasons?

• Minimizes clutter in the AdminCP currently
• Adds an interface and area for team members and staff members to interact with appropiate products and keeps them out of the AdminCP area.
• Allows a clean interface to manage future vBulletin add-ons and third-party addons without interfering with the vBulletin forum AdminCP.

Thoughts?

Product management is part of the Administration of the board, therefore in my opinion it should be part of the AdminCP. Furthermore many products require some modifications to the AdminCP (e.g. Usergroup Permissions, Product Settings - which appear in vBulletin Options).

When you start creating Control Panels for this and that you start creating more confusion, the thing you were trying to eradicate in the first place. A good modification would have a page dedicated to its own settings but I find that most things are where they should be. Product settings and in the Options section, product permissions are in the Usergroup permissions.

On a final note, Jesloft don't support third-party addons they just try to make life easier for us.
