What kind of staff structure do you have?
Hey all,
I was curious -- what kind of staff structure do some of you guys have? Do you just use the normal Admins, Super Mods, Mods, or does anyone have anything structured? We're thinking of making some positions like "Director of Arts (Photoshop)", Director of Public Relations (promotes the site), etc. Was just curious if anyone else really had structured their site with different roles and positions -- it's mostly just for fun, but just to delegate some duties that otherwise are too overwhelming for one guy to do by himself. Thanks for your input. |

Me Tarzan, You Jane... period! The only way to keep your staff in line is through fierce dictatorship

actually, Tarzan and Jane was not a dictatorship, it was only sexual...
btw, on-topic, the best structure is the non-confidence agreement... you have no confidence in nobody, so you give no major access to the site. even if in 6 months they just do good, never be too gentle... |

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm not planning on giving them access -- I just want to delegate some duties -- getting the word out about our car shows, photoshopping sigs, etc.

This is what I use:
Super Admin: Can use all functions in ACP and edit HTML/Templates; added to the includes/config.php file (only the owner of the board). Admin: all Admin CP (no SQL, templates, or HTML) only someone you know really well, other wise make them a Super Mod. Super Moderator: Can use all Moderator functions and ModCP . Moderator: Can use all Moderator functions. Support Staff or Leader: Can use very limited Moderator funtions (from this group we pick our future moderators). |

with 250 000 active members, we can't afford a regular team structure... we have commities for about anything on the site, and each section is managed by a council that deal with the rules, tuts, reports etc... it makes a 45 persons administration panel...
remember that 250 000 members is like a big city -- i live at Quebec city and we are 280 000... |

I usually use Super Admin > Admin > Super Mod > Mod. But if need be I create other "Mod" positions.

Once everything is up and running on my site, we'll have a hell of a lot of usergroups lol.

We currently have two Admins (one is a Super Admin - me) and the rest (15-20?) are all Super Mods. We are a pretty tight-knit group, but we have a couple of forums that keep growing and may need more Mods soon and I'm wondering if we should start using the Mod group instead of the Super Mod group now.
