A friend of mine recommended an article to me titled "The comprehnsive guide to forum SEO". It contains tips on how to make your vb forum search engine friendly and therefore get more search traffic.
I just thought I would share it with you. |

Hmm, interesting. I'm wondering how well some of these work, like editing the robots.txt and htaccess file.

The htaccess trick prevents duplicate content. It redirects all of your content to a one original version. As for the robots' one, it prevents the spiders from indexing useless pages. Why would you index member profiles, register page or faq?

robots.txt and .htaccess will both prevent a lot of duplicate content vBulletin generates, you could also block the archive from being indexed

you should put the site.com/forums/ in the .htaccess
you'll know its working if you visit site.com/forums/index.php? and get redirected back to site.com/forums/ |
