How would I do multiple input fields, with multiple names in table design?
First, I suck at explaining.
Anyways heres my problem. For the hack/mod (no idea what the difference is, but anyways) I was thinking of doing (if this kink can get worked out) You can create a form in the admincp when submitting a new 'item'. Each item would call for specific input fields/textboxes, so you couldn't just whip up say 4 and call them all the same thing. so for the moment lets say the fields you need for item one is Name, Username, Favorite Color and for item two you'd need Name, Username, Favorite Movie, Gender. First you'd have to add all the boxes separately before you can use this form to submit a new item, so each is added individually. What I can't figure out is the best course of action to do it. For example you could put each textbox as a new row in a entirely separate table, or have them as a new column in the row of the item, I'm not quite sure which would be the better option, I don't want to slow down my loading time by calling various tables or with overly complex queries. Suggestions? (or questions about what I'm going on about, because I suck at explaining) |
