Is it possible for users to select not viewing certain threads?
Hi guys, sorry if it is a re-post
In our vbulletin forum, we have 2 types of threads in general. First type of threads are directly related to our overall topic / objective, the others are more chat related threads. Some of the users are complaining that there are too many chat related threads and they only want to see the first type of threads. My question is; is it possible to categorize the threads, so that users may choose to view certain types of threads or not. Thanks for the answers in advance. PS: We do not prefer special membership type solutions. Thank you |

Why don't you set-up a forum for your overall topic and a separate forum for chat related threads? Else you can wait till vB 3.7 is stable and use the "Thread Prefix" Feature. Or you can search in the modifications section for "Thread Prefix" I think its called.

I this is the mod you are looking for.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=132279 You can select forums to exclude them from view so that they won't show up at all and you won't see threads in the 'new posts' or 'todays posts' results either. |
