I have a group of guys who don't like me or my forums because they seem to beleive we have conflicting interests, long story short; these guys are alot more computer savy then I and are relentlessly persistent. They work for a marketing company here in town and I can always see their ip address because it is owned by that company, but the company also has a TON of ip addresses. so an ip ban hasn't really been suffeceint.
Today I saw one of them veiwing a thread in my admin forum that is not searchable, or veiwable by members? how did they know it was there? how can i prevent them from doing this? |

If the thread was not viewable and not searchable then they were not viewing the thread.
However, it is possible that you are overlooking something that would allow them to search for or view that thread. Have you double checked all of your forum and usergroup settings? I suggest getting the Admin login as user hack and login to one of their accounts to check if you can view anything through their account that shouldn't be viewed. |

this has been a long ongoing issue, i have checked all my permissions over and over again. i did log in as a user (great hack by the way) and can't get anything to pull up. is there a way the could be crawling my admin panel? I saw an ip address in my panel today... i figured it was a bot following me? ip was 150.70.84.154, i banned it just to be safe.
