Semi-Private Forum Section?
I am sure this is possible already, maybe, but wasn't sure how to do it or if this could be done another way. I want to have a forum section where people can come and ask for help on certain situations. I just want this to be one section on the forum. I would like to have a group that can see and reply to all the posts. However, the person that makes the original help post I would like them only able to see the post that they made and not read others help requests. The only people that could reply is the group of helpers I setup and the person that made the original post. I hope this makes sense, if not just ask and I can hopefully better clarify. Thank you for any and all help in advance!!

You can do this easily in forum permissions. Set for the user group to only see their threads.
I would then create a new usergroup called tech help (or what ever you want) and then let the others who you want to help be in the tech user group. You can set it as a secondary. If that doesnt make enough sense.. Let me know and I'll look up exact steps to elaborate the process. |

Yes, you can do that in the usergroup permissions for the forum. Take a look at the permissions and you'll see things like "Can see other's threads?" (which you would want set to no) and other permissions like that.
