Server Overloading?

How could this be possible? It has been done twice already, something makes the site overload and hostgator disables it the directory for my forum. Could be that its to small to handle the amount of members i have? Its only 7XX members and 2XX are active, what do you all recommend that i do? I have installed several mods from here and added some google ads, I dont know if thats has to do with anything. BTW my hosting service is the BABY CROC from hostgator.

I was with hostgator on the same plan, I left them about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I can only suggest getting a new host. You can see the host I went to in my signature.

Any problems what so ever so far? And which plan did you go to? Also can i transfer my domain? since its with hostgator.

You have over 200 concurrent users online and you don't know the reason you're overloading? When you've got that many users online at one time, it's time to move up to at least a VPS.

I think the problem is on the chatbox i installed, It has over 3k pages and the posts are above 200k. Im sure if i clear that it wont take to much to load now. Cuz hosgator did mention if i had modified a template, since thats what is showed on thier log.

T T T, I am wondering if anyone has had problem with there server due to the CYB-CHATBOX?

From what I've gleaned, once you start getting more than about 30 members online at once then you need more than cheap shared hosting.

And any chatbox/shoutbox/chatroom can bring a cheap shared site down if it gets more than 5-10 users in it at once.

I think he has 200 active users, not concurrent users.
