actually, at first sight, i can't be sure of what kind of fans do you plan to grab, because there is not a single indication of that on your site...

the actual look is simple, clean, sportive, efficient...

so this is my only negative comment... what's the goal of your site really??

I know what you mean so will maybe look at adding more/better content but I think the sidebar helps?

Ok site, I am not a fan of templates and floating ads. But you have made it something from something. You have added text, made things different like icons etc. But make it stand out for your needs. Gte people to stay and not annoy them with ads floating around.

The ad can be cut off just simply by clicking on the X, it really does improve registration rates I beleive.

Most people believe such things do not improve registration rate. More likely it will drive away potential members.
