Best CMS/Portal for vbulletin?

I'm just looking for some suggestions for a CMS/Portal system based on peoples own experiences of the various ones available.

There are many, I haven't tried them all so,

MY OPINION from the three I have tried ( joomla, Drupal VBadvanced ) is that Vdvanced offers the most seamless usability with minimal tinkering under the hood.

If you haven't gone live yet .. or if you have the ability to install VB in testforum mode I recommend you install and try the three I listed above and some of the others that I have not mentioned.



Bottom line:

You are the one most capable of deciding, and using VB in testforum mode is always a good way to figure out if you really need or want a portal product or for that matter all the fancy MODS and things available here.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I've been looking at vbadvanced and will install it now on the test forum I've setup.

Basically I'm trying to achieve the following setup on a new site...

Community
- Forum
- Chat room
- Member blogs

- custom pages containing sub pages. Basically sub sites within the site.
- a system where users pay a fee to have their own pages added to the site and can add their own content/pictures/audio while allowing me to set restrictions on file sizes etc and manage it easily enough.

If i can accomplish this I'll be pretty happy. No doubt its going to be a stressful journey.
