I want to remove the legend at the bottom of the forum, saying:

Forum is Closed for Posting"

I have used custom logo's so that legend is pretty much irrelevant. So which template do I use to remove these?

That would be the 'forumhome' template.

Scroll down to the bottom and look for the "icons and login code" section.
