Generally I search endlessly instead of asking... In this case I found just about everything on this except the one thing I'm looking for.
Our board recently switched over from UBB. It's a very active site with many moderators. In the old notification messages the text of the reported post was included. With 30+ notifications for some forums each day, this is seriously missed. I know where to edit phrases and such, but what do I need to add to get the post body? Thanks. |

I get the full text of the reported posts on my forums. I did install a hack though, so maybe it is because of the hack: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=136288

Ok, one last bump. Does anyone know how to get the text of reported posts back in the e-mail messages? I suspect it's just a matter of adding a small bit to the phrase, but I'm having no luck here and the mods are grumbling about how UBB 6.5 was better.

Personally i find it most usefull to post reports in a special moderator forum and let them handle it from there.
If you want to email your moderators with the post text, then you can edit the "reportbadpost_*" and "reportpost_*" phrases in the Email Body phrasegroup. To insert the post text add: Code:
Original Content: [quote]$postinfo[pagetext][/quote] |

I agree with Marco. I have a special Reported Posts forum in our Staff forum and all reported posts go there. That allows us to discuss them if there is something to discuss. The reports are also emailed to the mods, but most of them deal with them through the Reported Posts forum.
