Merge Administrator account
Hello
I have two accounts: one as administrator y other as simple user with some administrator privilegies. Can I merge the simple user account into the administrator account without problems? Only merge the posts? or I can have problems in Administrator account? Thanks |

Well it depends, if you are a Sole Administrator then I'd take a guess at no. The reason I say that is that there is a UserID normally the original Administrator to the forums who is uneditable/undeletable via the AdminCP. This is set in the config.php file in the Forums root.
If so I don't think you can but there is no harm trying it, goto Admin CP --> Users ---> Merge Users and then follow the instructions. When you merge users you select a Source and a Destination, the destination will basically keep the Username, Avatar, Signature and Permissions and the posts, pms, etc will be added from the other user. I'm sure if you check out the Vbulletin Manual it will explain more about the features that are and are not included in the merge. I merged two Admin Accounts without a problem following a switch from phpBB3 to Vb |

If I am the Sole Administrator, because of it I have fear that cannot accede to the account after. Thank you very much,
I will study the risks and will look at it Regards |

There should be no problem merging them, as long as you make sure that you use the real admin account as target of the merge.
