questions about addons effects
Hi,
I want to know the relation between all of these and server load? - page weight - queries - plugins - conditionals - javascripts |

You will need to be more specific if you are expecting an answer on this.

server load ???
what exactly do you mean? - page weight - none - queries - yes - plugins - maybe - conditionals - maybe - javascripts - none on a whole they can have a negative affect on how fast the site comes up (perception) .. so, you can have a low server load but the site may still be slow to the end-user another thing that you didn't mention is the number of HTTP requests .. the higher the number the slower the page |

I actually wanted to see how installing a mod could affect server load.
For example, If I installed a mod with (2 plugins, 2 queries, 1 javascript, 3 conditionals, NOT sure about HTTP requests) How do I determine the effect of that on the server load? |

It really depends on a lot of variables (query intensity, PHP intensity, how many people accessing the site (HTTP requests), server specs, etc.).

Can we take the 'Visitors in last 24 hours' mod as an example, and expalin how it affects?

That you would need to ask in the thread about that modification.
There is no simple relation between the number of plugins, the number of queries, etc... and the server load. |
