So who here actually make money on the net?

because right now i make very little, some but little from my vb....so is thier any suggestions on what i can get into/do to make money on the net...i have a lil money to invest btw....so yeah?

This depends on your talents and skills. What do you do (or make) on your computer that you think people would want to buy from you? There are literally thousands of ways to make money on the computer. For myself its custom web designs, forum templates, etc. I mainly stick to the whole forum/web designing portion.

I have made an accumulation of $7,000 over the past 6 months with my website (which isn't alot of money but it helps with college). But remember it has taken me 7 years to get to where I am now. Though I am self taught. It wasn't until 6 months ago did my designs start looking really good (or in my opinion they did).

Though say you make you a business. If you aren't willing to stick with it for at least 6 months then there is no reason to even try. When I first got my site up, business was little to none. Now I do at least 2 - 3 custom design jobs a week. The prices of these jobs usually run between 200 - 400. I have had some really high paying jobs come in, but the $200-$400 is the average.

Remember to stick to your goals and meet them. If you can't do that then there isnt really a reason to learn any type of programming or even start a business. If your lazy then this is something you will have to learn to change. People don't want to do business with lazy coders or designers. You can create your self a bad rep like that.

Of coarse there are! Thats what makes it fun. It's a challenge for me to make a skin better than the next guy. You have to prove yourself to other people that you can do the work and do it better than the next guy. I mean aren't there to many corner stores out there? Each and everyone of them competing to make the next $3.00 sell. Just because there are a lot of business of the same type doesn't mean that all of them wont make money. Some may make more than others, but this is where you strive to be the best. If your goals are right, then you shouldn't have a problem making any business for yourself.

very true thanks man you make some nice posts....so i'm going to make sigs untill im sick of them to up my gfx skills, then hava go at some skin/layout....but is there any tutorials on skin making? because i can get exsisting ones and make them alot nicer obviously but how do i make them from scratch? also do you advise me to start my own site up now? to advertise services.......otherwise how do i get in practice? also i am going to learn code for making websites...which do you suggest?
