How can I do this. I just recently became an administrator but I didn't inherit those settings while the existing administrators have been having them. Thanks.

You'll have to edit the usergroup so that it won't display that message.
Edit the usergroup and change the following option. General Permissions>>Show edited by note on edited messages? |

Yeah I've tried that time after time prior and it hasn't work. I think there's something wrong with the permissions system on my forum. People who are no longer staff still have access to the staff sections until we manually edit their masks.
