Default vB Clan Manager (Idea)

Well since the death of vBwar (I don't care what people say, its dead and burried). I would like to start a community project of sorts. Basically what I want to create is a Clan Management system that will hook into vBulletin seamlessly and manage your clan rosters, clan ranks, clan matches, server listings, server stats, awards, rank hierarchy, teams, diplomacy section, scrim manager, and a scrim request system.

Basically this is an unpaid job, I wish to release two versions 1 free version with little support and very basic features. Then a premium version with advanced features and ticket support. The two version idea may be scrapped during a collective decision of the group, I would also like this product to function standalone as well. I would like to build a team of PHP designers to help with this project along with GFX artists and HTML gods.

Currently I'm looking for 2 PHP programmers one of which should also have a good grasp of MySQL, 1 graphic artist, and 1 html designer.

The 2 PHP programmers MUST be licensed vBulletin owners. I will not accept anyone who is not a licensed vBulletin owner. Simply because I dont want the theft of my board to become a problem.

So the final team will consist of these positions.
1 PHP Programer - Myself (PHP, MySQL, Graphic, and HTML Skills)
1 PHP Programer - Open (Requires PHP, MySQL Skills)
1 PHP Programer - Open (Firm grasp of PHP coding)
1 Graphic Artist - Open (Must be able to create good representations of Pixel Art)
1 HTML Developer - Open (Must be well versed in latest standards of XHTML and CSS, Javascript and Ajax experience a big plus)

If anyone is interested in this please send me an email at bulletxxproof89@gmail.com

I am offering all the development resources we need including a liscensed vBulletin installation. I will also offer all helpers 10 gigs of space on my personal server, and unmetered bandwidth.

About time someone stepped up for the challenge! Gaming industry is exploding and is only going to get bigger. Clans are one of the biggest parts of the gaming industry, really can't believe neither Joomla or Vbulletin has a nice clan management system.

I really hope this thread gets taken serious than this one. :erm:

Might want to talk to Psionic Vision, I think he was working on one at some point, but he has stopped his mod site all together.

vWar sucks, its horrible. The coding in it is inflated and featureless. I rather come up with something brand new from scratch Come on I know this community is capable :P

It's a great idea and i would love to help. But php is a new language to me, so to speak.

I've done things in asp and just VB not vbscript.

Am admin for a clan and was hoping something like this was out, if not I'd have to learn how to do php.

I have had one volunteer for image and graphic work which is highly appreciated. With such little help this is going to probably be turned into a free Open-Source community collaborative project. Meaning I'm going to start designing the basis and run an SVN and I'm going to allow people to add patches after I review them. Hopefully put together a team of reviewers, and get a good group of people on there. One thing I have recently developed steming from the Plugin system is dynamic updating system, basically you can click a button to update your entire isntallation. Pretty nifty eh? I already have a working alpha the dynamic updating system working on my localhost with tons of bugs, but with any luck I will have it flawlessly integrated
