Custom Userfields.. Drop down menu NOT using the BLANK option

Trying to setup a custom profile field and when I set the drop down menu option to use a first blank option, when people register its NOT leaving that option blank, infact its going directly to the first data line in the field...

HELP!? =)

Under the Set Default how are you stipulating this???:

"Yes, Including a First Blank Option"

As stated in it's help icon to the right of this option:

Select Fields
If you wish to have the first option set as the default choice for this field, set this to Yes. Otherwise, a blank line will be the default. This is useful to force users to select an option at registration if this is a required field.

As I do know this works fine... Not sure what you are doing to not allow it to work....
